SYNOPSIS

Charlie Goolsworth, a 1950s Harlem gangster & jazz club owner gets a visit from the Ancestors in this film noir. The Primary Ancestor is the “detective prototype” from the film noir genre, but he’s holding Charlie spiritually accountable for his many many crimes.

LOVE & DEATH explores the moral quandary of a utilitarian's defense of his criminal acts for the benefit of his community. Told through the lens of film noir, Love & Death is a standalone featurette, but it will be pitched as a pilot to develop a Black film noir anthology or a full feature.
